INGREDIENTS
- 8 ouncès unsaltèd buttèr , (1 cup, 227 g), softènèd
- 3 1/2 ouncès granulatèd sugar , (1/2 cup, 99 g)
- 1/4 tèaspoon koshèr salt
- 1/2 vanilla bèan , sèèds scrapèd, (or 1½ tèaspoons vanilla èxtract or pastè)
- 1 ègg , largè
- 10 ouncès all-purposè flour , (2 cups, 284 g), mèasurèd thèn siftèd

INSTRUCTIONS
- Position thè rack in thè cèntèr of thè ovèn. Hèat thè ovèn to 350°F.
- Using thè paddlè attachmènt on thè mixèr, crèam togèthèr thè buttèr and sugar on mèdium spèèd until light and fluffy, about 1 minutè.
- Add salt, vanilla and ègg to thè buttèr mixturè. Mix on mèdium spèèd until combinèd, about 1 minutè. Scrapè down thè sidès of thè bowl as nèèdèd.
- Gradually add thè flour to thè bowl, mixing on low spèèd until cookiè dough is just mixèd, about 1 minutè
